Improvement to Bartholomew House Customer Service Centre
This report presents opportunities to improve
the customer entrance at Bartholomew House, increase the
council’s presence in Bartholomew Square, and make it easier
for residents visiting the site for the first time to access the
services they need.
Improvements to the entrance and adjacent public realm would help
address a range of sensitive issues associated with the site,
including antisocial behaviour, rough sleeping and substance
misuse.
The council’s budget is supported by income from Property
& Design’s commercial portfolio. This report also sets
out options to create a new commercial unit from surplus office
space in Bartholomew House, creating a new income stream for the
council, and providing funding for this project.
