Consultation process
The draft SPD underwent a period of statutory
public consultation for 6 weeks from 12 February to 25th March
2008. Among those consulted were Government agencies (including the
Environment Agency and Natural England), Brighton & Hove City
Council officers, members of the public, environment and community
groups and businesses. In all several hundred organisations, groups
and/or individuals were consulted and the draft SPD was also
publicised on the council’s website and in the Brighton &
Hove Argus.
