Parking Permits for Vale Park Area
South Portslade has been progressively becoming out of control for residents to park for a period of time now. It has esculated with new developments in this area. Now there is a further problem for residents to park as the Wish Ward light touch scheme is in place. This has pushed that wards parking problem to the roads mentioned and possibly the area as a whole. There are many residents who partically need to park as near to home as possible day or night for sensitive reasons and it should be made possible for any resident/s to be able to park nearby their residency. It clearly is not an option that readily now and seems to be a case of 1st come 1st served and one has to be very very quick.
This ePetition ran from 17/03/2018 to 25/06/2018 and has now finished.

Council response
Response provided at the Environment, Transport & Sustainability Committee on 26 June 2018:
'Thank you for your petition and the views expressed at the
recent public meeting at the Portslade Community Centre clearly
outline the problems you are encountering and I do appreciate the
issues in the South Portslade area.
It was agreed through a priority timetable agreed at this Committee
last October that the South Portslade area would be consulted from
Autumn 2019.
A further report is planned later in 2018 to outline and discuss
the extent of the consultation area and the Officer recommendations
will be based on the views of the residents in your area and your
petition today will also be taken into consideration'.
