Albion Legend - Charlie Webb Memorial Tree Plaque

We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to allow a memorial plaque to be placed at the base of a tree which was planted in memory of a true legend of the city in 1973. It currently stands unmarked in Hove Park opposite the former site of the Goldstone Ground.

Charlie Webb was with Brighton and Hove Albion for nearly 40 years. He was both player and manager, as well as spending a period as a POW during the First World War. It would come at no cost to the council, only permission is needed to give someone so deserving a lasting memorial.
