Declarations of Interest

(a)      Disclosable pecuniary interests;

(b)      Any other interests required to be registered under the local code;

(c)      Any other general interest as a result of which a decision on the matter might reasonably be regarded as affecting you or a partner more than a majority of other people or businesses in the ward/s affected by the decision.

 

In each case, you need to declare

(i)        the item on the agenda the interest relates to;

(ii)      the nature of the interest; and

(iii)     whether it is a disclosable pecuniary interest or some other interest.

 

If unsure, Members should seek advice from the committee lawyer or administrator preferably before the meeting.

Minutes:

41.1      Councillor Mitchell declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as she was employed by the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.  However she had been granted dispensation by the Monitoring Officer to speak and vote on the item.

 

41.2      Councillor Yates declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as he worked for the Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  However he had been granted dispensation by the Monitoring Officer to speak and vote on the item.

 

41.3      Councillor Barford declared a personal interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as she worked for St. Peter’s & St James Hospice & Continuing Care Centre.  However she had been granted dispensation by the Monitoring Officer to speak and vote on the item.

 

41.4      Councillor Atkinson declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as he worked for the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and had been involved in meetings regarding the STP.  He would therefore leave the chamber and take no part in the discussion or voting on the item.

 

41.5      Councillor Horan declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as she worked for Here a not for profit enterprise and NHS organisation.  However she had been granted dispensation by the Monitoring Officer to speak and vote on the item.

 

41.6      Councillor Inkpin-Leissner declared a personal and prejudicial interest in Item 56 (c), Notice of Motion concerning NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan, as he.  However he had been granted dispensation by the Monitoring Officer to speak and vote on the item.

 

41.7      No other declarations of interests in matters appearing on the agenda were made.
