Reasons for the decision:
To ensure there is detailed, clear advice to developers on the type of development that is acceptable on this important and sensitive site.
To assist Development Control officers in the assessment of future development proposals and/or planning applications concerning the site.
Alternative options considered:
Five draft land-use and design options were shared with members of the public at a public exhibition, amenity and residents’ associations and the Conservation Advisory Group (CAG). Comments were invited on these draft options and are summarised in Sections 3.15-3.20 of this report.
