 Declarations of interest for agenda item 'To consider and determine planning applications on the plans list: 3 February 2010'

  • Councillor Geoffrey Wells - Non Pecuniary - Councillor Wells (Deputy Chairman) referred to Application BH2004/02185, 4-7 & 15-20 Kensington Street enquiring whether as Deputy Chairman of Housing Managemt Committee he had a prejudicial interest in this application for affordable housing. He confirmed in answer to questions of the Solicitor to the Committee that he remained of a neutral mind and had not predetermined the application. On that basis he would remain present at the meeting during consideration of the application and would take part in the discussion and voting thereon.
  • Councillor Kevin Allen - Personal and Prejudicial - Councillor Allen spoke in his capacity as a Local Ward Councillor setting out his objections in respect of application BH2009/02615, Windlesham School, 190 Dyke Road. Having spoken he withdrew from the meeting and took no further part iin the discussion or debate. It was subsequently agreed to carry out a site visit.
  • Councillor Kevin Allen - Personal and Prejudicial - Councillor Allen referred to his intention to speak in his capacity as a Local Ward Councillor in respect of Application BH2009/02797, 106 Waldegrave Road. He stated his intention to leave the meeting having spoken in favour of the application and to take no part in the debate or decision making proccess thereon. It was decided however that the application would not be considered at that meeting but would form the subject of a site visit.
  • Councillor Maria Caulfield - Non Pecuniary - Councillor Caulfieldreferred to Application BH2004/02185, 4 -7 & 15- 20 Kensington Street enquiring whether as Chairman of the Housing Management Committee she had a prejudicial interest in this application comprising affordable housing. She confirmed in answer to questions by the Solicitor to the Committee that she remained of a neutral mind and had not predetermined the application. On that basis she would remainpresent at the meeting during its consideration and would take part in the discussion and voting thereon.
  • Councillor Paul Steedman - Personal and Prejudicial - Coouncillor Steeedman decalred an interest in Application BH2009/02715, Community Base, 113 Queen's Road. His employer had recently hired community space within the building and in consequence, allthough he had not pre-determined the application he woould leave the meeting during consuderation of the application and would take no part in the debate or decision making process.
