Closure Of Day Centres For Adults With Learning Disabilities
We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to It is with deep regret that we have learnt Brighton and Hove City Council are planning to cut their in-house day care provision for adults with learning disabilities. With the exception of a very limited number, these very vulnerable members of our community will need to look elsewhere for this type of service and those of us involved in this campaign do not feel assured there will be sufficient places for them. Their family members who care for them also rely on this service to enable them to receive some much needed respite. We therefore call upon BHCC to reconsider cutting these services. There are other ways for the Council to make savings without taking away much needed services from some of the most vulnerable citizens of Brighton and Hove.
Please help those who often cannot speak for themselves. Help to stop the closure of day centres for adults with learning disabilities. Help to ensure the safety and security of those who need it most.
