Vote of No Confidence

We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to take note that the Administration has failed collectively on the delivery of front line services, delivering value to its customers, supporting local businesses in the community and delivering a commonsense and 21st century approach to the environment and not a 1970's approach. This Administration isn't fit for purpose and therefore we wish to call on the Opposition Councillors to move a motion for a vote of no confidence.

This council is not fit and proper to govern, or manage and deliver services. There has been a collective failure to deal with issues in the city and deliver/improve front line services. Furthermore, some of the initiatives implemented have penalised and impacted the quality of life and day to day life of ordinary citizens. This is not acceptable and therefore there needs to be change now.

A facebook poll has been set up to support the petition and can be found at the following address:

The petition will be presented to the Council meeting on the 30th January 2013.

Council response

The Council has noted the response from the Lead petitioner in regard to the e-petition:

"I want to thank you for your help and support through this process. It would appear that whilst I didn't have enough signatures for a debate and vote, Warren Morgan forced the issue and had the result I wanted."
