Purpose:
As part of the Council’s future development of Schools within the city it is proposed to create an all through primary school from Benfield Junior School by extending the age range of the school from 7 – 11, as it is now to, 4 – 11 from September 2011. The purpose of this report is to seek agreement to commence the initial consultation process for this proposal.
Decision:
1. To note and endorse the proposal to create an all through primary school by changing the age range of Benfield Junior School from 7 – 11 as at present to 4 to 11 from September 2011.
2. That the results from the initial consultation exercise are referred to Cabinet Member Meeting on 11th October 2010 for decision.
