Purpose:

As part of the Council’s future development of Schools within the city it is proposed to expand Goldstone and Westdene Primary Schools by one form of entry and Queens Park Primary School by half a form of entry. A report was agreed in April 2010 by the Children & Young People Cabinet Member Meeting to publish the necessary Statutory Notices required by Regulation. The purpose of this report is to inform the Cabinet Member of the results of this consultation and seek Cabinet Member decision on the proposals.

Decision:

1.                  That the Cabinet Member confirms the statutory notice and resolves to permanently expand Goldstone Primary School by one form of entry from September 2011 subject to the grant of planning permission under Part 3 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.  This condition must be met by September 1st 2010.

 

2.                  That the Cabinet Member confirms the statutory notice and resolves to permanently expand Westdene Primary School by one form of entry from September 2011 subject to the grant of planning permission under Part 3 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.  This condition must be met by September 1st 2010.

 

3.                  That the Cabinet Member confirms the statutory notice and resolves to permanently expand Queens Park Primary School by half a form of entry from September 2011 subject to the grant of planning permission under Part 3 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.  This condition must be met by December 1st 2010.
